Funding Sources

 

ACCESS-York, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation receiving funds through the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence. These funds come through the Department of Public Welfare which combines state and federal funding.

Other funding sources include: United Way of York County, York County Department of Human Services, Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, The County of York, The City of York, HUD, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, foundations, agency fundraising activities, individual, corporate and community contributions.

ACCESS-York is slightly over 50% funded by government-based grants - a funding source recently stagnant or decreasing. The work of serving victims and of preventing domestic violence could not be conducted without the support of our community. Each dollar donated translates into life changing and life saving services to our community friends and neighbors and to the quality and safety of life within our community.
